Updated October 5, 2026 · 4 min read

Pacing means giving each breath a gentle rhythm. These patterns are general wellness ideas, not medical advice.

Pattern one: 4 in, 6 out

Breathe in through the nose for four counts and out for six. Repeat for one minute.

Pattern two: the pause

Breathe in, pause for two counts, breathe out slowly.

Pattern three: three-part breath

Fill your belly first, then your ribs, then your upper chest. Release in reverse.

  • Sit tall and relax your jaw.
  • Keep every breath comfortable.
  • Practice at a regular time.
  • Stop if you feel dizzy.

Build a plan with the first-month checklist and clear air at home.
